-
Black Limited Edition
Exclusive to PlayStation Direct in the countries listed above.
-
White Limited Edition
Limited quantities at PlayStation Direct and participating retailers.
Watch for resellers asking more than MSRP. Sony's blog is the official source for price and where each color is sold. Why a DualSense matters for this game: PlayStation lists haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and the controller speaker among GTA VI's PS5 features (PlayStation).
Storage
GTA VI's install size isn't official yet. Our PS5 storage guide covers what's known and Sony's steps to free up space. If you need more room, these are the officially licensed options in Sony's accessories catalog:
-
WD_BLACK SN850P (internal M.2)
Officially licensed for PS5 with a built-in heatsink, so you don't need to add one. Sold in 1, 2, 4, and 8 TB. Rated up to 7,300 MB/s; Sony recommends 5,500 MB/s or faster. You can play PS5 games straight from it.
-
Seagate Game Drive SSD (external USB)
Officially licensed external SSD, up to 2 TB. Good for parking PS5 games you've finished. PS5 games must be copied back to play; PS4 games can play from it.
-
Seagate Game Drive HDD (external USB)
Officially licensed external hard drive, up to 5 TB. Lots of space for archiving, with the same limits as any USB extended storage.
Any M.2 drive that meets Sony's requirements also works, but it needs a heatsink. USB rules: PlayStation Support.
Headsets & earbuds
PlayStation lists Tempest 3D Audio among GTA VI's PS5 features Confirmed (PlayStation). Sony says you can hear 3D Audio through TV speakers or analog or USB stereo headphones, so any wired headset works (PlayStation footnote). Sony's own wireless options:
-
PULSE Elite wireless headset
Planar magnetic drivers, lossless PlayStation Link wireless, a retractable mic, and up to 30 hours of battery. Also pairs over Bluetooth.
-
PULSE Explore wireless earbuds
The same planar driver and PlayStation Link tech in earbuds with hidden mics. Up to 5 hours per charge plus 10 more from the case.
Controllers & charging
-
DualSense wireless controller
The standard controller, with the haptics and adaptive triggers GTA VI supports, in a range of colors. Pick this if you can't find a Limited Edition.
-
DualSense Edge
Sony's pro controller, with customizable controls and swappable profiles.
-
DualSense charging station
Docks and charges up to two DualSense or DualSense Edge controllers.
