Launch prep checklist (PS5)
Confirm your pre-order is digital or a code box; redeem a physical code before Nov 12.
Free up generous storage; ignore the ~200 GB rumor and leave room for a day-one patch.
Turn on auto-download for the pre-order: Game Library, select GTA VI, select the countdown timer, and keep the content boxes checked. Then turn on Settings > System > Power Saving > Features Available in Rest Mode > Stay Connected to the Internet so it can download in rest mode (PlayStation Support: pre-order auto-download, PlayStation Support: rest mode).
Preload Nov 12 at local midnight; your PSN account region decides timing (Rockstar Support).
PS Plus isn't needed for launch content (unconfirmed inference: the game is single-player with offline play).
Claim the free GTA+ month by Mar 31, 2027, or cancel it; it renews at $7.99 (PS offer terms).
